change the world.
The slow fashion clothing line of LA designer, Sonja Nesse, is made with careful consideration and a conscious ethos. They came to us to create a brand identity for their collection that’s equal parts thoughtful and romantic.
Here’s How: We positioned Neranese as The Forever Wardrobe for effortless style and studied fit. And used the phrase Real Romantics to guide our creative decisions by balancing functional minimalism and considered beauty. We found further inspiration in how beautiful choices change the world—including both the designer’s choices, and the wearer choosing clothing made slowly, ethically and with care. We began to shape the brand voice in a poetic manifesto and the tagline Things of Beauty. To express the brand’s romantic minimalism, we contrasted subtle notes of nostalgia with a modern approach to typography and design, creating a distinctive look that feels both soft and strong, new and timeless. We crafted snippets of poetry that felt like they’d been clipped from a personal journal and brought them into unlikely placements, from wheatpaste walls to boxes and hang tags.
